Expecting utmost transparency from other, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) itself is not ready to reveal their funding details. The party which had started with a slogan of corruption- free India is not intended to display its funding on its website or in the public domain.
The party has made a fresh appeal for donation to contest in Punjab assembly elections. And this time the donor list would be a TOP SECRET. Though they reasoned it as few of the party members are being harassed by its opponents for making large amounted donations. The party has not put up any information on its website for the past several months.
It is alleged that party has become a source of unaccounted funds/donations. The rival political parties urged it to display the names of those who make donations above Rs. 20000.
The ex-leaders of Aam Aadmi Party revealed that the party is facing high financial crunch and that’s why they’re not breaking the details. Even the NRI’s who were funding the AAP have closed the contribution after stories of how their hard-earned money was being mis-utilized by the party leaders.
Another reason could be the breach of trust by the party which has befooled their leaders with fake promises regarding poll tickets. So they pulled in their hands and are not willing to spare a penny on the party.
So, it brings out the real picture of only a three-year old party or so called Revolution AAP.
